Im not sure with you know what its like to be related/best friends to a soldier,But he's been gone for a year 4 months and 18 days. I need help, I have no contact with him and im afraid of the worse. - Anonymous

First off I’m really sorry to hear this. This type of situation holds a special place in my heart because I myself was considering of joining the military. There’s a girl that I really care about, and doesn’t want me to go. Its a tough decision. He chose the armed forces because he felt strongly about his country and the people he loves. He’s fighting for freedom, the people. Most importantly, he’s fighting for you. The decision to join was not easy for him I’ll tell you that.
I understand what you’re feeling. Don’t feel like it’s your fault. I want you to stay strong, for him. It what he wants. Your support and love fuels him :D Yes, I know its scary with him being in war…it’s not easy to support him. Just know that he will do everything he can to come back! I would try writing him letters, anything that you can physically see :D Writing is a good way to express what you feel. Plus, I’m sure he would appreciate it. Stay strong for him! Even when you don’t talk to him for an extended period of time…just stay strong. I hope I helped :D Keep me updated?
